Event Details
“Sinking Cities: Miami” is one of four “Sinking Cities” episodes exploring how global cities are coming to grips with the real-time effects of rising seas and extreme weather. “The Oldest City Underwater” addresses rising water levels within St. Augustine. Atlantic Beach Mayor Ellen Glasser and other experts will be the evening’s panelists following the films.
Film screening is free and open to the public with free parking at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Concessions and a food truck will be on site.
The St. Augustine EcoCinema is presented by Green Hands Initiative, the St. Augustine Film Society, The Golden Way and Beaches Go Green with support from the Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre (FOSAA) and Maritime Studios.
This is a FREE event. Front Porch opens at 6pm, Film at 7pm followed by Q&A Session
About EcoCinema
St. Augustine EcoCinema Series: A Four-Part Environmental Film Series! This summer and fall, four environmental documentaries will be shown for free on the Front Porch at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, followed by a Q&A session with local experts. All are welcome to join and learn more how we can work together to positively address plastic pollution, rising sea levels, food waste and marine habitat destruction.
